In addition to the printed main catalogues of ABB Schalt- und Steuerungstechnik GmbH 1998/1999, Part 1, 1999 Part 2, and the price list for series 40 and 50 of the Advant Controller 31 system, a CD-ROM "Prices and Data 1.1999" is now available for all commercially available Windows versions.

As a price list, this "electronic catalogue" does not in fact contain all the detailed information in the printed versions, but its data sets can be exported for the purpose to the user’s own purchasing or materials management systems.

Besides the classical ASCII text variants, the ELDANORM and DATANORM formats are additionally supported for the generation of exported data-sets. What is more, it is possible for prices to be given both in DM and in EURO.

Product selection takes place either as a full-text search in a product search tree or through the order number of the desired product. The first character is often enough to find what is being sought. Thus a quite individual order can be directly put together from the product database, the products required can be placed in a "basket of goods" and finally either be exported to the existing material management system or be printed out on an order form.

A minor highlight is that baskets of goods can be stored on hard disk for later processing.
